Intro to 2015 Star Horace Spencer III

by Alex Schwartz

There might not be a more hyped player in the freshman class than Horace Spencer III. The 6-foot-8, 200-pound power forward out of William Tennent (PA) became a big name in the 2015 class while still in middle school based off some internet videos of his play.

Now in high school, Spencer is a freshman starter and the star player for his squad. VUSports.com had the opportunity to see William Tennent play against Interboro (PA) at the Jameer Nelson Philly.com Holiday Classic, a game in which Spencer's team blew a late lead and lost 53-52.

After the contest, Spencer took the time to speak with VUSports.com about his game, his recruitment and his hype.

Spencer said that at this point no schools have been in touch with his family or coaches, but he has received some letters. Schools that have sent him mail include North Carolina and USC.

It will not be for quite some time that Spencer makes his college choice. Not only is he still a freshman, but he said he will "wait it out" before deciding.
