Catching Up With Amile Jefferson

by Alex Schwartz

Amile Jefferson checks in at No. 36 in Rivals150 for the class 2012, but more importantly this time of year, he is the sixth highest ranked player who has yet to make his college decision.

On Tuesday afternoon, the 6-foot-8, 200-pound power forward led his Friends Central (PA) team to a 61-17 victory over Germantown Friends (PA). In fact, Jefferson actually singlehandedly outscored the opposition, dropping 19 points in fairly limited minutes. After the game, he spoke with VUSports.com about his recruitment.

"I'm still looking at Villanova, UConn, Kentucky, Ohio State, NC State, and Temple," Jefferson said, noting that he has offers from all six.

As for Stanford and Maryland, Jefferson said, "I just haven't talked to them in a little while."

The Keystone State star remains open in his recruitment, saying, "I don't have a favorite."
