Class of 2012 Team Recruiting Rankings- November Edition

by Alex Schwartz

The early signing period is in the rear view mirror and a number of players have made their commitments over the past couple of weeks. Thus, it seems that now is an ideal time to update the September Edition of the team recruiting rankings.

At this point, only 24 players in the Northstar Basketball Post-July 2012 Top 150 remain uncommitted, though there are a few others who have made a verbal pledge, but have not signed a Letter of Intent.

While this list is certain to change over the next several months, one can certainly get a feel for how things are shaping up. In fact, only a few teams will be able to make major moves, as just 13 players in the top 75 are still on the board.

As Arizona showed, some things do indeed stay the same. As was the case in September, the Wildcats sit atop the recruiting rankings 9+ weeks and 55+ top 150 commitments later. Right behind Sean Miller's program this time around is another group of Wildcats, these from Kentucky. UK had no commits when the last rankings were release, but now John Calipari has a fantastic three-man class and sit at No. 2 on the list.

Along with Kentucky, two other schools made the jump from unranked in September to top five in November. Checking in at No. 3 on the list is North Carolina State, as Mark Gottfried has done a great job recruiting in his first year with the Wolfpack. At No. 4 is Jim Boeheim and the Syracuse Orange, who have the top ranked two-man class in the country.

In addition to Kentucky and North Carolina State, a few other schools also made large jumps after previously being unranked. Michigan is now siting at No. 11 overall, while Georgia Tech joins the rankings at No. 15. The other squads that went from being not listed to the top 25 are Memphis (16), Kansas (18), Michigan State (19), and Wake Forest (21).

This set of rankings has been extended top a top 30 and also included 10 honorable mentions, so a number of additional programs will receive recognition. The lone school that went from top 25 to out of the top 40 is St. John's.

Without further ado, here is a look at how things look at the current team recruiting rankings for the class of 2012.
