Quick Updates On Anrio Adams & Landen Lucas
by Alex Schwartz
Based off where players attend high school, the Northstar Basketball Post-July 2012 Top 150 features one player each Washington and Oregon. While
those they might not be the most well-covered areas for high school hoops, both West Coast states certainly produce their share of talent.
This year's headliner in the Evergreen State is 6'3 shooting guard Anrio Adams. After he was originally planning to enroll at St. Patrick's (NJ) and reclassify to 2013, Adams instead reportedly transferred to Rainier Beach (WA) and remained in the 2012 class.
Yesterday, via text message, Adams (pictured) told Northstar Basketball that he is considering Arizona, Baylor, Louisville, Georgetown, and Kentucky.
While listed as a shooting guard, Adams is capable of playing either guard spot and he noted that those schools are "looking for a pg."
Adams, who is capable of playing either guard spot, said that his current favorites are Baylor and Arizona. The #132 ranked player in the 2012 class said he has "not yet" taken any official visits.
As for Oregon, it is Landen Lucas who is the state's top dog in the class of 2012. Lucas spent his first two years of high school at Sunset (OR) before transferring to national powerhouse Findlay Prep (NV) for his junior year. He is now at Westview (OR) for his senior year.
While Lucas' update for Northstar Basketball was brief, he did provide a school list. The 6'9 center said that he is still considering Washington, Cal, Stanford, and Tennessee.
Lucas checks in as the #105 ranked player in the Northstar Basketball Post-July 2012 Top 150 and is among the top 10 available centers in the country.
