PA Center Talks Recruitment at AAU Nationals

by Alex Schwartz

Although he runs with the Ohio-based King James Shooting Stars on the AAU circuit, Devontae Watson is one of the better rising seniors in Pennsylvania. A 6-foot-10, 210-pound center out of Lincoln Park High School, Watson checked in with Hawk Hill Hardwood during AAU Nationals last week.

Watson listed scholarship offers from Duquesne, Dayton, Temple, Akron, Cleveland State, Penn State, and Rider. In addition, he said he is garnering interest from Florida State, Arkansas, St. Joseph's, and others.

"I'd have to say Temple and St. Joe's been coming at me the hardest right now," Watson said. "All the schools, but I'd say Temple and St. Joe's . . . and Akron too."
