Anderson & Gathers Shine at Peach Jam

With one returning player plus nine signees in the class of 2011, St. John's has just three scholarships for the crop of 2012 prospects.
One of those spots has already been filled by Jevon Thomas and the Johnnies are targeting Kyle Anderson and Ricardo Gathers for the other two spots. Both Anderson and Gathers were at the Nike Peach Jam/EYBL Finals and RedStormReport.com had a chance to see both of them in action.
Kyle Anderson, a 6-foot-8 power forward/point guard out of St. Anthony's (NJ), led the Playaz Basketball Club to the quarterfinals of the Peach Jam, before falling to the Oakland Soldiers. Anderson was one of the event's top performers, finishing at or near the top of numerous statistical categories, including scoring, assists, rebounds, and free throw attempts.
