2013 Forward: Jermaine Lawrence

In the hoops hotbed that is New York City, rising junior Jermaine Lawrence is one of the best players to be found. The 6-foot-8, 195-pound power forward out of Cardozo High School in Queens is part of a terrific 2013 class in the Big Apple.
Villanova has been quite successful recruiting NYC of late and Lawrence is one of a few players in the city who are VU targets. The rising junior discussed his recruitment with VUSports.com on Tuesday while at Hoop Group Elite Camp.
Lawrence said that he currently holds scholarship offers from Louisville, Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Hofstra, and Fordham. In addition, he is garnering interest from Syracuse, West Virginia, Iowa, Iowa State, Villanova, St. John's, Florida, Miami, and others.
"Well, right now Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Louisville," Lawrence said of his favorites at this point.
