Arcidiacono Hones His Skills
by Alex Schwartz
Class of 2012 Villanova-commit Ryan Arcidiacono has been busy the past month. Upon returning from a back injury, "Arch" participated in four major hoops events over the course of just over four weeks.
Arcidiacono started his busy month at the the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions (Raleigh, N.C.) from May 27 to 29. Up next was the CP3 Elite Guard Camp (Winston-Salem, N.C.) from June 13 to 16. He was then at NBPA Top 100 Camp (Charlottesville, Va.) from June 15 to 18. Finally, he went to the Deron Williams Skills Academy (Chicago) from June 23 to 25.
VUSports.com caught up with the 6-foot-3 point guard to discuss his experience at the most recent of the bunch, the Deron Williams Skills Academy. The Neshaminy (PA) star was at the shore relaxing after his busy month, but was kind enough to take the time to talk about his time in Chicago.
"It was great, like the other camps, it was just great competition, great stuff we learned," Arcidiacono said. "I forget his name, Dee Brown or something, he [was there and he] played in the NBA [for] 12 years. Ganon Baker was there, he did the ball handling. There was an assistant from the Celtics was there, Kevin Eastman."
