Final Conference Recruiting Breakdown: 6. Pac-12
by Alex Schwartz
As was the case in November, the SEC is the number six ranked conference in the recruiting rankings. The Big 12 at number four and the Big Ten at number five are quite a bit behind the ACC at number three, but
the gap is almost as big to the Pac-12 in the final spot of the BCS conferences.
Arizona is the number seven ranked class in the Final Team Recruiting Rankings, but the that is the only Pac-12 school in the top 30. Each of the other five BCS conferences has at least three, with the second ranked Big East actually having nine. The Pac-12 has as many commitments in the top 50 of the D1 Hoops Report Class of 2011 Top 150 as the top ranked SEC does in just the top seven.
Despite the addition of Colorado and Utah from the last set of rankings, the Pac-12 is one of just two BCS conferences with zero top 10 players headed its way and it has by far the least amount of ranked prospects set to suit up for its member squads. Nonetheless, there are certainly some nice players on the way, including four top 30 players and two of the top eight players in the D1 Hoops Report 2011 Post-Grad Top 40.
Below is the complete rundown on the players headed to the Southeastern Conference in the class of 2011. Note that player rankings are based off the D1HR 2011 Top 150 and the D1HR PG Top 40. In addition, note that the top six players in the D1HR PG Top 40 are also considered as top 150 players in all statistics/numbers.
