Checking in with Aubrey Dawkins

Aubrey Dawkins grew up a Duke fan, and he still does root for the Blue Devils. However, the 6-foot-2, 160-pound rising junior is also a Stanford fan these days.
Aubrey's father is Stanford head coach Johnny Dawkins, who played for Mike Krzyzewski at Duke and later coached under him in Durham.
NorCalPreps.com had the chance to speak with Aubrey Dawkins on Thursday while at the NBPA Top 100 Camp. The shooting guard out of Palo Alto High School discussed what it is like to be Johnny Dawkins' son, as well as his game, experience at the camp, and more.
"It's definitely an advantage I have in the game, [having someone in basketball] who's always with me, who I'm always in contact with," Dawkins said of having a former college star, NBA player and current high-major head coach as a father.
