Prospect Intro: Sindarius Thornwell '13

by Alex Schwartz

Although it is early in his high school career, 6-foot-4, 186-pound shooting guard Sindarius Thornwell has already made a name for himself on the hardwood. A standout at Lancaster (SC), Thornwell is ranked just outside the top 30 players in the class of 2013 and has a number of quality Division I programs on his trail.

Thornwell was in attendance for the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions this weekend, running with the Team United U16 squad. While there, he took the time to speak with ScoutFriars.com about his recruitment, his interest in Providence and his game.

Thornwell lists scholarship offers from the likes of
South Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee State, Miami, Charlotte, and Georgia Southern.

In addition to those half dozen offers, Thornwell is garnering interest from a plethora of other programs. He is hearing from
Boston College, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Central Florida, Providence, Xavier, and others.
