Commitment Catch-up

Here is a rundown on some of the top players to
commit in the past week or so. I have "retweeted" the news of almost all of of these commitments on my Twitter account, but have not had the time to post them on the site yet. With the rankings out of the way, I'll now be back in the groove going forward.
- Georgia State landed a commitment from one of the top available players in the nation in 6'6 shooting guard Tony Kimbro (pictured on left) of Jeffersontown (KY), per Jody Demling of The Courier-Journal.
- Evan Daniels of Scout had the news that TCU landed the top available point guard in the country, 5'11 Kyan Anderson of North Crowley (TX), a one-time Providence signee.
- God's Gift Achiuwa announced his intentions to attend St. John's according to multiple reports. The 6'8 JuCo power forward from Erie JC (NY) is the ninth member of the Red Storm's recruiting class.
- Ole Miss landed 6'5 shooting guard Maurice Aniefiok of Huntington Prep (WV), in news broken by ZagsBlog.
- Multiple outlets reported that one-time Iowa State-signee Anthony Odunsi, a 6'3 shooting guard from Travis (TX), pledged to Utah. The Utes also landed 6'6 JuCo small forward Dijon Farr of Indian Hills (IA), per JucoRecruiting.com.
- Per multiple reports, LSU landed a pledge from Anthony Hickey, a 5'11 point guard out of Christian County (KY).
- One-time Dayton-signee LaDontae Henton, a 6'5 small forward out of Lansing Eastern (MI), is now headed to Providence, per The Recruit Scoop.
- Not long after getting his release from Oklahoma, 6'9 JuCo power forward Robert Goff of Hutchinson CC (KS) popped to Marshall, per Jeff Goodman of FOXSports.com.
- DJ Peterson, a 6'5 shooting guard out of Lee Academy (ME), pledged to La Salle, in news released by Lee Academy head coach Andrew Papaefthemiou via his Twitter account. Shortly thereafter, the pledge was confirmed to me by a source close to the situation.
- ZagsBlog had the news that David Bruce, a 6'9 JuCo power forward out of Harcum JC (PA), had
pledged to Hampton. Bruce signed with St. Joseph's coming out of Linden High School (NJ) in 2009.
- The Recruit Scoop broke the news that 6'1 point guard Kevin Kaspar (pictured on right) of Findlay Prep (NV) had pledged to Western Kentucky.
- One-time Penn-commit Will Davis of New Hampton (NH) is now bound for UC-Irvine, per the Twitter page of New Hampton head coach Pete Hutchins. Davis, a 6'8 power forward, is the #16 ranked player in the D1 Hoops Report 2011 Post-Grad Top 40.
- ESPN's Dave Telep had the news that 6'10 center John Cannon of Mountain Heritage (NC) opted for Georgia.
- According to Evan Daniels, Appalachian State landed 6'5 ex-UConn shooting guard Jamaal Trice, who is now at Midland JC (TX).
- Quinton Chievous, a 6'5 shooting guard out of Notre Dame (IL), selected Tennessee over St. Louis, per Jeff Borzello of Busting the Bracket.
- Manhattan landed a pair of commitments in 6'5 small forward Emmanuel Andujar of Rice (NY) and 6'5 small forward Donovan Kates of Christian County (KY). The news of Andujar's pledge was from Gotham Hoops Scouting, while ZagsBlog had the story on Kates' decision.
- NJHoops had the news that 6'5 power forward Earl Brown of Imhotep Charter (PA) was off the board to St. Francis (PA).
- Chicago Hoops reported that Aaron Adeoye, a 6'5 power forward out of Marion (IL), was headed to Ball State.
- Kevin Ferguson, a 6'9 center out of Governor Livingston (NJ), is headed to Army, per NJHoops.
- Originally a Miami
commitment in the class of 2012, 6'9 center Ismaila Dauda of Grandview Prep (FL) will instead be heading to a JuCo, Polk State College (FL), as a member of the 2011 class, per FLRecruitScoop.
- In news first reported by Jerry Meyer of Rivals, 7'5 center Sim Bhullar (pictured on left) of Huntington Prep (WV) committed to Xavier. Bhullar is ranked #75 in the D1 Hoops Report Class of 2012 Spring Top 75.
- Per Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal, 6'3 JuCo shooting guard TJ Taylor of Paris JC (TX) committed to Marquette as a member of the 2012 class. Taylor, who began his career at Oklahoma before transferring, was ranked #107 in Northstar Basketball's Class of 2010 Terrific 125 coming out of Denison High School (TX).
- Hoosier Hoops Report had the news that 5'10 point guard Ronnie Johnson of North Central (IN) was off the board to Purdue. Johnson, who is now part of a four-man 2012 class for the Boilermakers, is the younger brother of Purdue soon-to-be sophomore guard Terone Johnson.
- Eric Jacobson, a 6'10 center from Hamilton (AZ) in the class of 2012, opted to stay in-state and attend Arizona State, per ESPN.
- Alex Mitola, a class of 2012 5'10 shooting guard out of Gill St. Bernard's (NJ), is headed to Dartmouth, per The Recruit Scoop.
- ESPN's Dave Telp broke the news that 6'7 center Tyrek Coger of Upper Room Christian Academy (NC) became the first player to commit to Frank Haith at Missouri. Coger is the #39 ranked player in the D1 Hoops Report Class of 2013 Spring Top 40.
