Washington a Rising Star in NYC

At 6'7, 236-pounds, Jordan Washington is big for any age, but the fact that he is merely entering his sophomore year of high school makes it that much more impressive.
The NY star spoke with NYChoops.net while at Fordham University with his AAU team, New Heights, for the NYC Summer Classic on the final day of the Live Period.
Despite his youth, Washington said the Notre Dame, Arkansas, Arizona, St. John's, Fordham, and Stanford have all expressed interest in him. None, though, have offered a scholarship at this early stage.
It is two schools not showing interest that this point that really have Washington intrigued. "My favorites are Syracuse and Villanova," said the young big man.
Before picking a college, Washington has already dealt with some uncertainty about his high school situation. There has been speculation that he will switch schools for his sophomore year, but it appears that the speculation is over.
