Hilliard Chooses Cats
Villanova added its fourth commitment in the class of 2011 on Wednesday. Darrun Hilliard, a 6'5 shooting guard out of Liberty (PA), announced his intentions to play for the Wildcats. He spoke with VUSports.com yesterday evening to discuss his decision.
"Villanova was always kind of been in the picture from the beginning, but I fell in love when I went up there for a visit, how they treated me, how the guys treated me, it's a great program," Hilliard said of how he picked Villanova. "Coach Jay Wright always produces great guards and I think you are promised a great career after being a Villanova basketball player, so that's what drew me to being a Wildcat."
Asked who his other finalists were, Hilliard replied, "Schools like Michigan, Iowa, Seton Hall, Notre Dame, Penn State, and I think that's about it."
