NY's Best of the Best in Orlando

There were numerous teams from New York in Orlando for the AAU Super Showcase and AAU Nationals in all age groups.
While the Empire State teams did not win any titles, they made a lot of noise and showed that there is still a great deal of talent in one of the most tradition-rich hoops states in the country. A number of players stood out for the New York teams in attendance and NYChoops.net details the performances of a dozen of the top players at the U17 age level below.
Omar Calhoun, 2012, SG, 6'3, Christ the King (NY), New York Gauchos- Considered by many to the best player in New York City, Calhoun continued his outstanding summer in Orlando. Despite being undersized for a two guard and not having a large physique, Calhoun scores at will, rebounds well, and steps up in the clutch.
