Eye of the Red Storm in Orlando

With thousands and thousands of players in Orlando for the AAU Super Showcase and AAU Nationals, there were of course a number of St. John's targets in attendance.
Head Coach Steve Lavin was there for a few days and Assistant Coach Tony Chiles was there for a quite some time.
Many of the players the staff watched hail from the New York Metro Area. RedStormReport.com saw the SJU coaches observing a number of players during the time spent in Orlando. The players are listed below along with a brief recap of their play in Orlando and evaluation of their game.
Kareem Canty, 2011, PG, 6'1, Bishop Loughlin (NY), Long Island Lightning-
Canty had a fantastic showing for the LI Lightning, who made noise in both the Super Showcase and Nationals. Canty showed that in addition to effectively running the point and distributing the ball, he is capable of knocking down the three-point shot. Canty's play in Orlando earned him a scholarship offer from another Big East school, Rutgers, according to reports.
