Recruitment of DaJuan Coleman and Rakeem Christmas 'Open'
Rakeem Christmas has long been one of the biggest names in the class of 2011. The 6-foot-9, 226-pound of Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn (PA) and the Team Final AAU program has been consensously ranked near the top of the class since the earliest 2011 rankings were released by internet websites. From an early stage, Christmas has had a tightly guarded recruiting process and a list of schools that he has kept neat and tidy during the process. Sometimes that leads to a player being overlooked a little as there is not a lot of news coming out of his camp in regards to his recruitment. That might have been the case of late as the public eye has moved off the talented and athletic big man but with his recruiting being opened up, at least a little bit, that is likely to be no longer the case much longer.
Possibly the biggest name in the 2012 class is possibly the biggest body. Jamesville-Dewitt High School, near Syracuse (NY) is the home of 6-foot-9 1/2, 280 pound DaJuan Coleman. A mammoth in the paint, Coleman showed a more varied set of skills during LeBron James Skills Academy, but he knows where his bread is buttered and when it is time to go to work he thrives in the physical play in the paint and on the glass. While there is a natural school expected to be his leader, Coleman insisted that he is open with a list of six on equal footing with others trying to get involved.
