There is a lot of talent in the New York Metro Area for new St. John's Head Coach Steve Lavin to go after.

One of the best players in New Jersey is Desmond Hubert '11 of New Egypt High School, a 6'9 power forward. Hubert, though, has not heard from the new man in charge of the Red Storm.

Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Virginia, Maryland, Pitt, Villanova, and Wake Forest were the schools Hubert listed. He said that all of those programs have offered except for Georgetown and mentioned that other schools are on his trail too.
