Yacoubou Still Solid as Carson Weighs Options
by Alex Schwartz
On the last day of NBPA Top 100 Camp at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VUSports.com caught up with two members of the class of 2011 who have made college commitments.
Achraf Yacoubou '11 selected Villanova in October and has not wavered on his decision. Jahii Carson '11 was committed to Oregon State for about 10 months before reopening his recruitment. Yacoubou is one of two 2011 commits to VU, while Carson is another guard the staff may be interested in adding.
Yacoubou, a 6'4, 202-pound combo guard out of Long Island Lutheran (NY) was the first member of Villanova's 2011 recruiting class. At NBPA Camp, Yacoubou averaged 4.7 points per game and helped him team make it to the championship. His single game high in the seven contests was 13 points.
