Turner Reps NorCal at NBPA Camp
by Alex Schwartz
Eight players from the state of California made the cross country trip to the University of Virginia for the NBPA Top 100 Camp. Of the eight, three of them hail from Northern California. The two main ones were Josiah Turner (2011, Sacramento High) and Jabari Brown 2011, Oakland High) are the lone representatives from the area at the elite event in Charlottesville. Turner took the time to speak with NorCalPreps.com on Friday.
Ranked as a five-star prospect as the No. 22 ranked player in his class by Rivals on a national level, Turner clearly has a number of colleges on his trail. Kansas, Wake Forest, Oklahoma, Florida, Arizona, Tennessee, Arizona State, Oregon, and Oregon State were the programs listed by Turner, who noted that others are involved too. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard lists offers from all of them except for Tennessee and Oregon State.
