Atlanta PF Lists Miami in Top Three

by Alex Schwartz

Nick Jacobs of South Atlanta (GA) is one of the most physically imposing big men in the class of 2011.

While at the University of Virginia for the NBPA Top 100 Camp, the 6'9, 250-pounder has shown that he is more than just a big body and demonstrated why so many high-major programs are recruiting him.

Jacobs is coming off an impressive season at South Atlanta, the alma mater of future NBA lottery pick Derrick Favors. The team went 29-3, with Jacobs averaging 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game.

Jacobs lists Miami, Florida State, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Clemson, Oregon State, Charlotte, Oklahoma, Cincinnati, and Virginia Tech as the schools that have offered him.

He said his top schools are: “Right now it’s Alabama, Miami, and Virginia Tech."
