The Playaz Basketball Club from New Jersey is one of the top AAU programs in the country, churning out high-major Division I players ona yearly basis. The Villanova Wildcats have landed numerous Playaz stars over the years, and are hot on the trail of some others. Both Desmond Hubert '11 of New Egypt (NJ) and Tariq Carey '12 of Newar kEastside (NJ) have emerged as targets for Jay Wright and Co. Both spoke with VUSports.com at the Rumble in the Bronx to update their recruitment.

Desmond Hubert, a 6'9, 205-pound center, is one of the top big men in the region. Villanova, Pitt, Wake Forest, Ohio State,UConn, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina,Duke are the programs that the Garden State star lists. He claims offers from all except Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Duke.

Though he currently has no favorites, Hubert does know when he would like to make his college choice. "By the beginning of school next year," Hubert said.
