Desmond Hubert '11 of New Egypt (NJ) has established himself as one of the best shot blockers in the country regardless of class. The 6'9, 205-pound center is drawing interest from major college programs across the country, Villanova included.

Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Duke, North Carolina, Texas, Pitt, UConn, Georgetown, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Villanova, and Penn State "are like the main" schools recruiting Hubert. The big man claims offers from Pitt, Maryland, Villanova, UConn, Virginia Tech, and Penn State.

Hubert, who does "not really" have any favorites at this time, will be narrowing his list the near future. "I'll probably cut my list down after the summer," he said.

As for when he plans to make his college choice, that is still up in the air, but it may not be for a while. "As I take my official visits, I'm not sure when it's gonna be, before my high school [season] starts or afterward," remarked Hubert.
