Amile Jefferson: A Rising Star

by Alex Schwartz

Currently ranked as the number seven player in the class of 2012 on a national level by Rivals, there is no disputing Amile Jefferson's talent. The 6'7, 185-pound forward from Friends Central (PA) already has numerous colleges coming after him despite his youth, and many more will likely join the chase after his upcoming busy summer.

"Right now I'm really wide open, but the schools that have approached are West Virginia, Wake Forest, Penn State, St. Joseph's, Villanova. That's off the top of my head, there are some others, but right now I'm wide open, just looking at all my options," Jefferson said.

The long wing lists scholarship offers from Penn State, St. Joseph's, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech as of now, though he was not entirely sure of his offers since his "dad really handles everything" at this point.

Jefferson said that he does not have any favorites, but that he will be sitting down with his father in the near future to formulate a list. "I think at this point I'm really open, but by the end of the school year we are gonna sit down and really look and everything and form a list," Jefferson remarked.
