The third member of the University of Miami’s class of 2010 recruiting class made it official on Wednesday when he faxed in his papers to the coaching staff.

Erik Swoope, a 6'5 power forward from Harvard-Westlake (CA), is now a true Cane.

“It was just relaxing because I know all the troubles I was going through at the beginning of the school year with finding a school and then when everything opened up to verbally commit, that was relieving," Swoope said. "Then to make it official and fulfill a large part of my dreams as basketball player, it’s pretty amazing."

The Golden State standout, who is ranked by ESPN.com as the 41st best power forward in the class, will be having a party soon to celebrate the special occasion.
