Kadeem Jack: Miami Visit Was Great

by Alex Schwartz

Rice (NY) power forward Kadeem Jack '10 took his official visit to the University of Miami, and enjoyed his time in Coral Gables.

“It was a fun experience, it was great” said Jack, who was hosted by UM freshman guard Durand Scott, who he attended high school with. “We took a tour of the campus, I saw the president, and I had a chance to meet the team, a lot of the players. I saw them work out, spent some time with the coach, and spent some time with Durand, so it was fun.”

Jack and Scott have a good relationship, but due to the distance, this was their first time spending time together in nearly four months.

“We spent a little bit of time around Christmas I think because he came back on break," Jack said. “It was great that I have somebody over there that I knew so it was kind of fun."

While his relationship with Miami’s star player in obviously important, Jack’s discussion with the coaches may well have a major impact on his decision.
