Yacoubou Set for Summer

by Alex Schwartz

Now that his high school season has come to a close, Villanova-bound Achraf Yacoubou '11 is focusing on the upcoming summer circuit. The 6'3 combo guard from Long Island Lutheran (NY) already has plans to attend a number of different events.

Before discussing the future, Yacoubou took some time to reflect on the past, commenting on Villanova's season and his team's year at LuHi.

On the Wildcats' 09-10 season, Yacoubou said, "I thought they were playing real great in the beginning of the season and then it started going down, but I think they'll be better next year."

Like the rest of the college hoops fans, Yacoubou is not exactly sure what went wrong for the Big East team, though he does have a theory."I really don't know. It just looked like they didn't have the same passion they did in the beginning of the season when they made a big run."

In the high school season, Yacoubou's team finished with the same number of losses as the Wildcats did, but did not have quite as many wins.
