Former UConn Commit Considering Six

Cleveland Melvin is one of the top remaining forwards in the class of 2010. Melvin, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound combo forward is doing a post graduate year at Notre Dame Prep (MA) and has seen his stock increase in the extra year.

“I’m an athletic wing forward, I run the floor real well, grab rebounds, play D," Melvin said. "Just everything, shoot mid-range, nice little mid-range, can hit the three-pointer."

After committing to UConn in November of 2009, Melvin reopened his recruitment last month and the Huskies are no longer involved. Duke, Miami, Seton Hall, Pitt, South Florida, and DePaul are the programs he now lists, claiming offers from all of them. He does not have any favorites.
