Wroten Has a Top Five

by Alex Schwartz

Tony Wroten, Jr. of Garfield (WA) is a star, plain and simple. Ranked number nine in the class of 2011 by Rivals, including number two among point guards, Wroten has a plethora of schools recruiting him, but just a few are standing out.

UConn, Syracuse, Villanova, Washington, and Baylor are currently the top five schools on Wroten's list. All five of them have offered, but so have dozens of other programs. Wroten mentioned LSU, the whole Pac-10, and most of the Big East-naming St. John's and South Florida specifically-as his other offers.

While he does have all of these other schools coming after him, the elite recruit says there is a strong chance he winds up at someone currently in his top five. "A high number, like basically 60, 70 [percent chance]."

Asked if he had to sign tomorrow who he would chose, Wroten replied, "Syracuse. Syracuse is my number one school, and then UConn, and then Nova, and then UDub, and then Baylor's fifth."
