2011 PF Hopkins Has UM Connection

Mikael Hopkins of DeMatha (MD) is considered to be one of the best big men in the class of 2011. Ranked as the number 36 prospect in the junior class in the ESPNU Super 60, the 6'8 Hopkins has a host of colleges coming after him, including Miami.
Kansas, Texas, Maryland, Georgetown, Syracuse, West Virginia, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami, Florida State, Florida, Xavier, Kentucky, Villanova, Notre Dame, Indiana, and Ohio State are the programs involved in Hopkins’ recruitment.
Of the 17 schools, Hopkins claims scholarship offers from nearly all of them. Texas, Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio State are the only four yet to extend and offer. While the power forward has yet to narrow his list down, some schools are standing out thus far.
