When Sunrise Christian Academy (KS) senior forward Raphael Akpejiori '10 committed to Miami in October, he was a relative unknown. After a quality season on an outstanding team, the big man is beginning to make a name for himself.

“We lost just two games this whole year,” said Akpejiori. The defeats came at the hands of nationally ranked Providence School (FL), which won the FHSAA AA state championship, and Dodge City (KS). While Akpejiori’s team does not play in the state tournament, the team did win a championship.
