10:57am- Happy Valentine's Day to everyone and happy birthday to my father! The first game of the day, between The Pennington School (NJ) and Albany Academy (NY) is about to begin.

11:10am- The Pennington School leads 12-10 with 2:15 left in the first quarter. Chandler Fraser-Pauls '11 has seven points for Pennington, while Nolan Hart '10 has five for Albany Academy.

11:15am- A buzzer beating three from Fraser-Pauls has given TPS a 19-14 lead through one. The junior has 10 points, while Anthony Gaffney '11 has four assists and two points.

11:30am- It is halftime and the Red Raiders of Pennington have a 31-27 lead over Albany Academy. Fraser-Pauls leads all scorers with 13. Nolan Hart is the high man for Albany Academy with 12, while Davids Benocs '11 has chipped in with 10 on 5/8 shooting.

11:55pm- After a great start to the third quarter that saw Pennington take a 42-32 lead, the Red Raiders watched Albany Academy storm back, closing the period on a 7-1 run to make it 43-39 with eight minutes to play. Fraser-Pauls has 20 and Hart has 18.

12:03pm- Pennington has stormed out of the gates this quarter on a 12-2 run to take a 55-41 lead with 3:15 to play.

12:13pm- The Red Raiders outscored the Cadets 22-9 in the fourth quarter to pick up a 65-48 victory. Chandler Fraser-Pauls and North Carolina State football-signee Dontae Johnson '10 each had 20 for TPS, while Nolan Hart also had 20 for Albany Academy. David Benocs added 14 for the Cadets.

12:16pm- The next game is Oak Ridge Military Academy (NC) vs. Nichols School (NY).

12:42pm- Oak Ridge leads 25-12 early in the second quarter.

12:46pm- Nichols School just went on a 9-0 to cut the lead to 25-21. Virginia-signee Will Regan '10 is 5/6 from the field for Nichols with 11 points.

12:52pm- Oak Ridge leads 32-28 with 2:55 left in the first half.

12:58pm- The Nichols School Vikings outscored the Cadets of Oak Ridge Military Academy 23-11 in the second quarter and lead 35-34 at halftime. Regan has 15 points on 7/12 shooting. Asad Lamot '10 leads Oak Ridge with eight points.

1:09pm- During halftime I was able to talk with Chandler Fraser-Pauls of The Pennington School and Corey Edwards '11 of Christ the King (NY).

1:21pm- Oak Ridge Military Academy leads Nichols School 46-43 through three quarters. Xavier Head Coach Chris Mack is on hand watching Jay Canty '10, who has signed with the Musketeers. There is a Virginia Tech assistant coach in the house too.

1:31pm- A Rider assistant coach is here as well. This game is tied at 52 with 3:50 left.

1:41pm- A bucket from Oak Ridge's Asad Lamot has cut the Nichols lead to two, 56-54, with 1:35 left.

1:45pm- Nichols has the ball, up 1, 56-55, with 28.5 left.

1:48pm- Jacob Lawson '11 skies from the baseline for a nasty dunk, gets fouled, makes the free throw to complete the three-point play and it is now tied at 58 with 16.7 left. Nichols ball under its own hoop.

2:01pm- Jay Canty blocked Will Regan at one end and then Cal football-signee Chris McCain '10 hit a mid-range J as time expired to give Oak Ridge Military Academy a come-from-behind 60-58 victory over Nichols School. Regan finished with 22 points, while Asad Lamot and Canty had 14 for Oak Ridge.

2:03pm- I talked with North Carolina State-commit Joseph Uchebo '12 of Oak Ridge Military Academy and also Jay Canty after the win.

2:44pm- Christ the King (NY) leads Half Hollow Hills West (NY) 34-33 at halftime. Tennessee-signee Tobias Harris '10 sat out the last 7+ minutes of the half with three fouls, but CTK could not take advantage of it. Tavon Sledge '11 leads Hills West with 11, while Omar Calhoun '12 of CTK is the high scorer thus far with 13.

3:08pm- With Tobias Harris back in the game, the Colts of Hills West have taken a 54-47 lead into the fourth quarter. The future Tennessee Volunteer has 14 points.

3:15pm- Tobias Harris picked up his fourth foul with 6:21 to play. With 5:20 left, it's Hills West 58, CTK 53. UConn Head Coach Jim Calhoun is on hand.

3:24pm- To. Harrs fouled out with 1:53 to go and his team up 67-61. Three of his fouls were offensive.

4:13pm- Half Hollow Hills West won 73-69. Tavon Sledge had 22 and Tobias Harris had 19. Omar Calhoun had '12 had 24 for CTK.

4:16pm- I spoke with Calhoun and Sledge after the game. Pitt Assistant Coach Brandin Knight and Villanova Head Coach Jay Wright are also amongst the coaches here as Findlay Prep (NV) leads Trenton Catholic (NJ) 24-13 with 4:30 left in the half.

4:26pm- It's halftime and Findlay Prep has a 29-19 lead on Trenton Catholic. Drexel-signee Frantz Massenat '10 leads the Iron Mikes with seven, but picked up his third foul in the second quarter and had to sit. Nick Johnson '11 of Findlay leads all scorers with nine points.

4:35pm- Rider Head Coach Tommy Dempsey is yet another coach in the building. The second half of this game is about to begin.

4:51pm- TCA outscored Findlay 15-14 that quarter behind the play of Massenat. Findlay is up 43-34 entering the final period of play.

4:57pm- After cutting the lead to eight, the Iron Mikes are now down 58-48 with 5:11 to go. Massenat has been outstanding, getting to the cup time after time gainst elite prospects Cory Joseph '10 and Nick Johnson.

5:06pm- Dondre Whitmore '10 hit a three to cut the deficit to seven with 2:45 to play. Trenton Catholic then forced Findlay to call a timeout in the backcourt due to the fullcourt press. The Iron Mikes will not go away.

5:08pm- Whitmore stole a pass from Johnson, got the ball to Massenat, and the future Drexel Dragon turned it into an old-fashioned three-point play, making this a four-point game. The TCA pressure is rattling the Pilots.

5:11pm- Back-to-back Findlay buckets, then a Khalid Lewis El '11 three-point play for TCA made it a five-point game. Winston Shepard '12 then scored for Findlay and Lewis El hit two free throws. It's 58-53 with 1:03 left.

5:19pm- Findlay Prep wins 63-57 in hard-fought battle.Massenat led all scorers with 28 points, shooting 11/16 from the field and 6/8 from the line.

5:51pm- Cherokee (NJ) led Bishop Loughlin (NY) 9-7 through one and it's now 11-11 with 6:56 left in the half.

6:08pm- It's halftime at Bishop Loughlin is up 28-21. Villanova-bound McDonald's All-American Jayvaughn Pinkston '10 was saddled with foul trouble and missed most of the second quarter.

6:22pm- Loughlin is up 29-22 with 5:23 left in the third.

6:35pm- Bishop Loughlin outscores Cherokee 17-6 in the third quarter and leads 45-27 with eight minutes left. Rasi Jenkins '10 has seven blocks for Loughlin.

7:00pm- The Lions got the win by a final score of 55-36, led by 13 points from Kareem Canty '11. For Cherokee, Willis Nicholson '10 had 11. The Shabazz (NJ)/St. Raymond's (NY) game is about to begin.

7:20pm- St. Raymond's leads Shabazz 17-10 at the end of the first quarter. Nkereuwem Okoro '12 had been great at both ends for the Ravens.

7:28pm- Just as St. Ray's was on the verge of running away with this game, Shabazz stormed back into it and with 3:30 left in the half, Shabazz has taken the lead, 23-22.

7:36pm- Shabazz outscores St. Ray's 21-7 in the second quarter, capped by a one-handed baseline jam by Daveon Boardingham '10 with about 10 seconds left in the half. Shabazz is up 31-24 at the intermission.

7:57pm- Shabazz is up 45-37 with 1:36 left in the third quarter. Boardingham has 11 points and 10 rebounds.

8:09pm- Seton Hall Assistant Coach Scott Adubato has joined the list of coaches who have been here today. Shabazz leads St. Raymond's 53-45 with 4:30 left. The Ravens' top player, Nkereuwem Okoro, just fouled out. This one may be over.

8:57pm- Shabazz won by a final score of 59-46. Isaiah Williams '10 led the victors with 22 points. Nkereuwem Okoro was tops for the Ravens with 19 in defeat. Boardingham finished with 17 and 12.

8:58pm- Montgomery (NJ) leads New Egypt (NJ) 6-5 through one quarter. Desmond Hubert '11 had five blocks in the first period for New Egypt.

9:05pm- I spoke with Nkereuwem Okoro and Daniel Dingle '12, both of St. Ray's, after the game. New Egypt leads Montgomery 15-14 with 3:05 left in the half.

9:12pm- Montgomery leads New Egypt 18-17 at the half. Hubert has six points, six blocks, and three rebounds. Navy-bound James Loupos '10 has eight points for the Cougars.

9:26pm- Georgie Tech is another school here. Desmond Hubert is up to ten points and eight blocks and his team leads 22-18.

9:30pm- Hubert now has a double-double and there is still 3:12 left in the third quarter. The 6'9 center has 13 points, 10 blocks, and 4 rebounds. The Warriors lead 25-18.

9:34pm- Montgomery just scored its first points of the quarter, with just 1:27 left before the fourth. That was a long drought for the Cougars, who now trail 27-20.

9:38pm- New Egypt outscored Montgomery 13-2 in the third quarter and leads 30-20 entering the final eight minutes of action in the 2010 Prime Time Shootout.

9:48pm- New Egypt leads Montgomery 39-31 with 3:19 to play. Hubert has 19 points, 10 blocks, and 9 rebounds.

10:09pm- New Egypt wins the final game of the 2010 Prime Time Shootout by a score of 51-45. Desmond Hubert finished one rebound shy of a triple-double; he had 24 points, 11 blocks, and 9 rebounds. James Loupos had 16 points for the Cougars. I spoke with Hubert after the game.
