Dominic Artis Player Diary Entry #2

Dominic Artis '12 of Salesian (CA) sent in his second player diary entry last night, and in it, he provided a bit of an update on his recruitment. Have a look at what the sophomore point guard had to say.

Man last week was real crazy. Last night I got back from the Stanford visit. I got to see the football game against Oregon (with great seats) and watch their practice. The coaches were real cool and the players gave a good description of how life was there. They get a lot of time to practice and work on their game individually because they only have three classes, which is cool.

Then four days before that I had the Cal visit. They invited me to come see them play Chico State. The coaches were real about what they need from me and I got to talk to my boys [Jerome] Randle and [Patrick] Christopher after the game. They’re real cool peoples. Both Cal and Stanford told me the same things, which were keep the grades up and win games this year. Also to try and repeat being State Champs.

Currently I'm preparing for this geometry test and getting ready for the first day of practice which is tomorrow. I had a talk with coach yesterday about the season, he said I need to get more buckets this year since my boy Jabari [Brown] left, and become more of a leader.
