Myck Kabongo Player Diary Entry #2

Texas-commit Myck Kabongo '11 of St. Benedict's (NJ) checked in with his second player diary entry this evening. Take a look:

What's happenin' everybody? Before I inform you guys on my trip home, which was fun as heck! I would like to thank Northstar Basketball again for the opportunity to share my thoughts.

During my time at home I got caught up with a lot of friends & most importantly spent time with my family. I went to the movies a lot while being home. Yes, I'm a movie head, but all summer I wasn't able to watch movies due to the fact I've been sleeping & working hard on my game in the gym. Being home made me miss it more because it was where I spent most of my infancy years, but I remind myself every time that leaving from Toronto was something that I've always wanted to do, a sacrifice I had to take to try to reach my goals in life with the game of basketball. Nothing less on the city of Toronto which is very nice by the way, where I'm the prince, lol. So If you're thinking about taking a trip, I'll be the coolest tour guide to you, I swear.

School is up & running, and boy are the teachers at St Benedict's very demanding! Being a student-athlete is no joke, but I always find a way to balance the two out & perform at a high level at each one. The season is right around the corner & I think my team is as talented as any top team in the country. Having to carry the team this year defensively & offensively will be no problem, but I just want to be a great rabblerouser to the guys which I think I'll do well at, because we got the right pieces to be special & no bad apples. We will surprise a lot of people this year!

Shout Out 2 all my brothers; BG, Loso, Henry, & J-Bird that are always there for me & Jenna who means a great deal to me. Til next time, holla!
