Corey Chandler to Visit St. Bonaventure and Binghamton
by Alex Schwartz
Corey Chandler, who was recently dismissed from the Rutgers basketball team, will be visiting St. Bonaventure and Binghamton this week, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Chandler, who was at one point planning to transfer from RU before changing his mind, was forced to find a new school to play ball at, in news that I first saw via twitter from Adam Zagoria. Things were quiet on the Chandler front the past few days, but now it looks like the point guard from Newark Eastside (NJ) has a couple of schools in mind.
Both St. Bonaventure and Binghamton are expected to have Chandler on campus at some point this week. According to a different independent source, Chandler will take in Binghamton on either Tuesday or Wednesday, with the former as the more likely choice. As for the Bonnies, I have yet to learn of the date for the visit. St. Bonaventure is in the Atlantic-10 and Binghamton is in the America East. Chandler will have two years of eligibility remaining at whatever school he selects.
