Pierre Hayden Nike Hoop Jamboree Player Diary- Entry #2

Yooo what's good? Its me again, Pierre, and today was day two at the Jamboree. Today was probably the busiest day for us, but we got through it.

To start our day off we had two classes. One was talking about how to move your body and your lateral quickness on defense. That was interesting. The other was talking about our grades and test requirements to play D-1 or D-2 basketball.

From there, we went to play 3 on 3. My team went 2-2 for the day. I played real well in that session. Paul Biancardi, from ESPN, and I were talking about my game and he said he likes how I play and how I get to the rack and how I can shoot. After that he spoke to us about giving effort when we play and said to always play hard. Then we got into 5 on 5. That's when it got intense.

Our first game was against my mans Myles Mack's team. We lost by about 20. LOL. But it was a good matchup for me and him. He finished with 20 and I finished with 12 points and 8 assists. From both of our minds we feel we are both top 10 guards here. The next game we played Naadir Tharpe's team. We lost again, but I played real good. I finished with 15 points and 5 assists.

After the 5 on 5 games we went to community service. We played bingo and bonded with elderly people. They were very funny and were interested in us. We were interested in them too. That was fun.

But yo, I'm out I'm about to get some rest because I really have to do work tomorrow. So I'm going to sleep listening to my favorite rappers/singers Drake and Trey Songz. Peace!
