I just received a call from Derrick Gordon '11 of St. Patrick's (NJ), and he has officially committed to Western Kentucky. The rising junior has been enamored with WKU for quite some time, and he now a part of the future for the Sun Belt program. Gordon, who told me fellow AAU teammates Ramon Johnson '11 of Science Park (NJ) and Kelvin Amayo '11 of St. Benedict's (NJ) are down there too, went down to the school yesterday to spend some time with the coaches and stayed for today's Elite Camp. Derrick said it's a possibility that Johnson and Amayo will join him at the school, and that he will work them to do so. Gordon was excited about officially taking his name off the board and let me know that he thought the WKU coaches were happy too. Once again, in news being first reported by Northstar Basketball, Derrick Gordon of St. Patrick's has officially given his verbal commitment to Western Kentucky.
