Earlier today I received word from a source close to the situation that a talented New York guard has taken his name off the board. Anton Dickerson '09 of Boys & Girls (NY) has committed to Howard, a MEAC school in Washington, DC that has raided the New York/New Jersey area for talent. Dickerson, Charles DeCosta '09 of APEX Academies (NJ), and Tyreak Johnson '09 of St. Raymond's (NY) are all talented players in the Empire State or Garden State that will suit up for the Bison next year. Dickerson, who will not be able to sign a Letter of Intent because the Late Signing Period ended Wednesday, was a key part of the Kangaroos' season this year, one that included a win over fellow PSAL school, Lincoln (NY). Anton was amazing at The Hoop Group Elite Camp last summer, leading me to rank his as the #3 performer in the camp, as he led his team to the championship game along with Mike Taylor '11 and Devante Cutler '09. Once again, in news being first reported by Northstar Basketball, Anton Dickerson has committed to Howard.
