Favorites: “I really don’t have a favorite, [just] . . . whatever school is going to give me a full ride and . . . playing [time].”
Notes- Napier’s AAU Coach Oscar Lopez helped provide the school list, and said that there were many others showing interest not on that list. “The schools that go fast [and] . . . fit my type of basketball,” are those that Shabazz said he is looking for.

Andre Drummond ’11, Capital Prep (CT), CBC: UConn, Providence, Florida, Georgetown, West Virginia, and UMass
                                              Offers: UConn
Favorites: UConn, Georgetown, and West Virginia; “I like UConn. I like how West Virginia plays, and Georgetown [I like too].”
Note- Drummond does “not really” have a dream school.

                                           Offers: none
                                           Favorites: n/a
Notes- Tarczewski said that he “reclassifying next year at St. Mark’s [in MA],” as he will be leaving Stevens HS, which is a “really small public school.” Kaleb, who said BC was the main school looking at him, took an unofficial visit there as he was coming to Providence.

Tyler Harris ’11, Half Hollows Hills West (NY), Westchester Hawks: UConn, Duquesne, Fordham, Rutgers, Syracuse, and Maryland
                                Offers: UConn, Duquesne, and Fordham

Notes- Tyler and his older brother Tobias Harris ’10 have re-enrolled at Half Hollows after spending most of their 08-09 school year at Long Island Lutheran (NY), and the brothers have already began school there. On the possibility of playing college ball with Tobias, the younger Harris said, “I don’t know yet, maybe.” In addition, Tyler told me that are “some other” schools showing interest in him, but said, “I can’t think of them off the top of my head.”

I’ve been down there a couple times with him. . . . We always joke [about it, but] . . . right now I don’t know.” Murphy was originally in the class of 2011, but transferred to St. Mark’s from Prout (RI) and reclassified despite already being a highly regarded player, so I asked him what went into that decision, and he replied, “I was one of the younger kids in my grade [and now I get another] . . . year of maturing, getting better [and working in the] . . . classroom.”
