I received a text message from Jason West '09 of Florida Air Academy (FL) this morning, in which he said, "I committed to Texas Southern University." The talented Floridian said he picked the SWAC school over George Washington, Stony Brook, Quinnipiac, and Oregon State. So how did Jason decided to head to the Lone Star State for his college ball? "I went on an official visit and I loved it. The coaches are great . [Head] Coach [Tony] Harvey is trying to build up a great program and he wants me to be a major impact [player] right away. Plus, it's in Houston, the facilities are brand new, and it's just a great fit for me." West said he has yet to sign his NLI, but he will be "signing soon though." Once again, in news being first reported by Northstar Basketball, Jason West of Florida Air Academy has committed to Texas Southern.
