BREAKING NEWS!!! Austin Witter to North Carolina A&T

by Alex Schwartz

I heard this evening that 6'7 combo forward Austin Witter '09 of West Windsor-Plainsboro South (NJ) had committed to North Carolina A&T, so I sent him a him to get the scoop, and the Trenton Times' Colonial Valley Conference Player of the Year confirmed it. Witter said that it was "two nights ago" that he made his pledge to the MEAC school. Austin informed me that he also considered "Siena [and] Quinnipiac," but "liked A&T." I inquired of Witter who else besides the Aggies offered him a scholarship, to which he replied, "Well, Siena offered if I went [to do a] post grad year. Their assistant coach wanted to offer me, but the head coach never got to see me." Witter went on to say, "When we [my family] went down to A&T, we were sold." Once again, in news being first reported by Northstar Basketball, Austin Witter of West Windsor-Plainsboro South has verbally committed to North Carolina A&T.

Check out this article for my scouting report on Witter.
