School Lists

by Alex Schwartz

In the past two days I've caught up with a few talented players and collected some school lists. Have a look:

Kyan Anderson '11, North Crowley (TX): Kentucky, Texas A&M, and Arizona State
Offers: "Not yet, no, [but] . . . maybe soon now that the [high school season] is over."
Favorites: "Not yet. [There are] still plenty of school looking at me, [so I am] not picking any favorites."
Note- Anderson, whose dream school is UCLA, said that playing with current Oklahoma standout freshman and former five-star prospect Willie Warren at North Crowley last year was "a blessing." Kyan also said, "He was a great leader on the floor and taught me a lot in that department."

Pierre Hayden '11, Skyline (TX): Pitt, Texas A&M, Baylor, Memphis, Georgia Tech, Xavier, and Cal
                           Offers: Baylor
                           Favorites: Baylor and Cal

Jayon James '10, Paterson Catholic (NJ): Providence, La Salle, Fordham, Princeton, Brown, and Niagara
Offers: La Salle, Fordham, Princeton, and Brown
                          Favorites: "Not at the moment."

Chad Donley '10, Baker (FL): Princeton, Lehigh, William & Mary, Florida Atlantic, North Florida, Texas A&M, "and several JuCos"
Offers: "Not yet, but hopefully this coming AAU circuit [will] help."
                          Favorites: "No, not really."
Note- Donley, who said he "likes to keep [his] options open," is "considering all of" the schools on his list. Regarding the JuCos, Chad said, "If I don't get an offer I like, I might go [to a] JuCo to get one that I like. It's hard . . . to get exposure where I'm from." The point guard told me his team went 24-4 this year, falling in triple overtime in the round of 16 in states.
