School Lists
by Alex Schwartz
Over the past few days I've caught up with a number of players, some committed and some uncommitted, for interviews. For those who have yet to make a college decision, I got an up-to-date school list. There are six players from five different states who fit the bill on that, and for all but two I have yet to post a list at any point on them. Here are their lists:
Kyrie Irving '10, St. Patrick's (NJ): Maryland, Providence, Duke, Ohio State, Rutgers, Seton Hall, UConn, Louisville, Indiana, Memphis, St. John's, Virginia Tech, Pitt, Kansas, Texas A&M, Marquette, Florida, Miami, Penn State, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Gonzaga, Washington, Virginia, and George Washington
Offers: Maryland, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, UConn, Indiana, Memphis, St. John's, Virginia Tech, Pitt, Texas A&M, Penn State, Notre Dame, Virginia, and George Washington
Favorites: None
Travis McKie '10, John Marshall (VA): Virginia Commonwealth, Virginia, Wake Forest, Clemson, North Carolina, and Florida
Offers: Virginia Commonwealth, Virginia, Wake Forest, and Clemson
Favorites: None
James McAdoo '11, Norfolk Christian (VA): Wake Forest, North Carolina, Clemson, Duke, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Syracuse, Florida, Texas, UCLA, Georgetown, Marquette, UConn, and Louisville
Offers: Wake Forest, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Syracuse, Florida, Texas, UCLA, Georgetown, Marquette, UConn, and Louisville
Favorites: "I haven't really narrowed it down yet, but I'd say Florida and Texas . . . are the schools I stay in touch with the most, [but I have] . . . no real favorites."
Notes- McAdoo said that he is being recruited by the whole ACC except for North Carolina State, Miami, and Florida State, with Wake Forest, North Carolina, an Clemson being the ACC schools showing the most interest. He said he would "narrow [the list] down probably after AAU [ball this summer]." Regarding when he would commit, James said, "Before or after my junior year of high school," so it "could be" as early as this summer.
Shawn Oakman '11, Penn Wood (PA): Arizona, La Salle, Drexel, Villanova, Temple, St. Joseph's, Maryland, Memphis, Marquette, and West Virginia
Offers: None
Favorite: West Virginia
Corey Edwards '11, Christ the King (NY): Kentucky, Villanova, St. John's, Auburn, George Mason, Seton Hall, and Penn State
Offers: St. John's, Auburn, and George Mason
Favorites: "Not really."
Dominic Artis '12, Salesian (CA): Washington, Santa Clara, Cal, UNLV, St. Mary's, San Francisco, Stanford, and Oregon State
Offers: None
Favorites: In order, Artis' top four are Stanford, Washington, UCLA (not currently showing major interest), and Oregon State, and Artis said he is "really a Pac-10 guy."
