Prime Time Shootout Day Three School Lists
I've already posted a handful of school lists over the past two days, but I'm not done yet. I collected some more on day three of the Prime Time Shootout at Villanova. I spoke to some of the top players in the region regardless of class. Here are their lists:
Harley Williamson ’09, Lower Merion (PA): St. Francis
(PA), NJIT, Yale, Princeton, New Hampshire, and West Chester (DII)
Offers: NJIT
Favorites: None
Notes- Williamson, who said he is “just
waiting it out right now,” told me he is looking for a “respected school [where
he] can contribute.” The senior added that he “might do a year of prep school,”
but does not know where yet.
Lorenzo Christmas ’09, Norristown (PA): East
Stroudsburg (DII), Norfolk State, and Hampton
Offers: East Stroudsburg
Favorite: “Hampton is my favorite.”
Note- Christmas said he is looking
for a “good athletic program [with] good facilities.” He added, “[I want to go]
somewhere where I can see myself going.”
CJ Aiken ’10, Plymouth-Whitemarsh (PA): Syracuse,
Florida, West Virginia, Virginia, St. Joseph’s, La Salle, Clemson, Virginia
Tech, Xavier, and Penn State
Offers: Syracuse, Florida, West

Note- Amongst other things, Aiken said
he is looking for “playing time” and a “good education” when making his college
choice.
Jonathan Frye ’10, Northern Guilford (NC): Richmond,
William & Mary, Davidson, Appalachian State, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Virginia
Commonwealth, and Wake Forest
Offers: William & Mary and Appalachian

Favorites: None; “No, not really right
now. [I am] just trying to keep all my options and see what happens.”
Note- Frye, who said his “weighted [GPA
is] like a 4.5,” said, “One of my main interests [in picking a school] is the
academic part of it, getting the best between both [basketball and academics]
of them.”
Jack O’Neill ’10, North Catholic (PA): Arizona State,
Temple, St. Joseph’s, Rider, and Penn State
Offers: None
Favorite: “I
like Arizona State.”
Note- “I want a good
basketball team, [and] I want to go to a school . . . [with] a big campus . . .
[and good] academics,” said O’Neill when I asked him what he is looking for in
a school. Jack said he has a GPA of “3.4”.
Dante Devine ’10, Pennsbury (PA): West Virginia,
Purdue, Minnesota, Maryland, Temple, Villanova, and Pitt (list is for football;
Devine is a running back)
Offers: None; “No, not yet.”
Favorite: “I’ve been talking to Pitt a lot
lately. . . . They’re number one for me.”
Note- Devine said that he is not receiving
any interest to play college basketball, and is not interested in playing
basketball at the next level.
Duffy Barrett ’10, Holy Ghost Prep (PA): Middlebury
(DIII), Columbia, Army, Hartford, and Keystone (DIII)
Offers: None
Favorites: None; “Nothing in particular
right now. . . . [I just want to] keep my options [and] see what happens.”
Jacob Lawson ’11, Northern Guilford (NC): Florida
State, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Appalachian State, and Kentucky

Favorite: “I like Florida State.”
Note- Lawson said that there are “a lot
more” schools recruiting him, but that he just couldn’t “think of them” when we
were talking.
Jaylen Bond ’11, Plymouth-Whitemarsh (PA): Virginia,
Temple, St. Joseph’s, La Salle, Florida State, and Florida
Offers: Virginia, Temple, St. Joseph’s, and
La Salle
Favorite: Virginia
Note- When picking a school, Bond is going to
look at “the way they [are] going to play [him],” as well as “the way they
recruit other people . . . [and the] academics.”
Steele Davis ’11, Our Savior New American (NY):
Florida, Memphis, USC, Miami, DePaul, Georgetown, Syracuse, and Baylor
Offers: Florida, USC, Miami, DePaul, and

Favorites: None; “No, not right now.”
Note- Davis said that he is looking for “immediate
playing time” when making a college decision.
Lamon Church ’11, Malvern Prep (PA): St. Joseph’s, Seton
Hall, and Oregon State

Favorites: None
None- Church said the following when I
asked him what he is looking for in a school: “[Someplace] kind of big, [but]
not too big [with a] good atmosphere, [where I can get a] good education, [and]
somewhere where I can have fun, just that.”
