Prime Time Shootout Live Running Blog- Our Savior New American (NY) vs. Northern Guilford (NC)
by Alex Schwartz
Although it is the only game at Villanova this weekend without a team from Pennsylvania, the opening matchup on Saturday morning of the Prime Time Shootout should still be a good one. The Nighthawks of Northern Guilford are led by 6'7 Jacob Lawson '11, while 6'4 Jonathan Frye '10—amongst others—provides good help to the young big man. For The Pioneers of OSNA, it is their guard play that stands out. Rayner Moquete '09 and Chris Hampton '10 form a nice duo, though Steele Davis '11 is no slouch in the post. This should be a good game featuring quality out-of-PA players. We've got four minutes until tip-off.

12:30pm- One of two at the line have put OSNA on the board.
12:31pm- Back-to-back OSNA baskets to tie the game at 5.
12:33pm- A couple of free throws and a deuce from Steele Davis '11 have given the Pioneers a 9-5 lead, scoring nine straight points.
12:34pm- Jacob Lawson '11 scored for N. Guilford to end the 9-0 OSNA run, but a jumper by the Pioneers made it a four-point game again, 11-7.
12:36pm- Jonathan Frye '10 made a nice move to get open for a mid-range J, and then Lawson scored in transition, so it's tied at 11.
12:41pm- Our Savior New American is ahead 16-15 after one quarter of play.
12:44pm- Frye's long-range shot is off today, but the Nighthawks have still been able to stay in the game, and have actually tied it at 16 after Victor Dillard '10 hit the first of two at the stripe.
12:47pm- With 6:41 to go in the half, we are tied up at 18.
12:48pm- Frye scored off a nice backdoor cut to give N. Guilford a 20-18 lead.
