Midseason College Projections
by Alex Schwartz
In the past, I have done a number of college projections for where some of the nation's top uncommitted seniors will end up playing their college ball. So far, I have projected the college destinations of 40 players, and have done a pretty good job with my educated guesses. Of the 40 ballers, 33 are currently committed to, or have signed with, a school. Of these, 18 selected the school that I had listed as their #1 choice and six picked the institution that I put as their #2 option, while just nine picked a college that I did not list. (Note: This is based off the most up-to-date projections I did for each player; Terrell Vinson, who had signed with Loyola Marymount, but was let out of his NLI is considered one of the seven uncommitted players; Abdul Gaddy, who did commit to Arizona, the school I had at #1 for him, but later de-committed and chose Washington, my #2 school for him, is on the #2 list). Now, I will project the destinations of the seven players who have yet to decide on a school—including Vinson—and will add some new ones, such as DeMarcus Cousins, to the list.
