BREAKING NEWS!!! Anali Okoloji to Leave Charis Prep

I had the chance to catch up with Anali Okoloji '09 of Charis Prep (NC) today. “Charis Prep [is] 18-0 and I average about 16 or 17 [points], 11 rebounds, four assists, [and] steals,” said Okoloji. Anali also said the following: “I found out some bad news that Charis Prep is not cleared [by the NCAA], and I [had previously] thought it was a rumor, but it is not. So I have a Plan B. I am going back to Benjamin Banneker [in New York]. I do not want to be ineligible for next year. I got to do what’s best for me. Being in the south was a new experience for me, and very different from NY, but my plan is to keep working hard. I took my SAT this past Saturday, December 6, and I take my ACT this Saturday. After I do [well] on my ACT and SAT, I’m going to set up visits.” Okoloji later told me he will be heading to Banneker “sometime this week” and said he “should be eligible, but if [he] is not, [he] will do [well] academically, and train [and] everything [to] get ready for college." He said that he has informed "most of the colleges" involved in his recruitment "what the situation" is. Once again, in news being first reported by Northstar Basketball, Anali Okolji is leaving Charis Prep and heading back to his former school, Benjamin Banneker (NY).
