- Guard Kyrie Irving '10 of St. Patrick's (NJ) is currently at Indiana taking a visit. Irving, who transferred to St. Patrick's from Montclair Kimberly Academy (NJ) last year told me, "I'm here now," via text message today. The gifted junior is one of the best players in America and is being courted by dozens of schools.
- Dontae Johnson '10, a dual-sport star at The Pennington School (NJ) has received his first football scholarship offer today. Maryland has mailed out an offer to the 6'3 safety/wide receiver today. The Terrapins currently have Dominique Herald, who graduated from The Pennington School in 2007, so the program clearly has some connections with Pennington. Other schools involved in Johnson's recruitment include UConn, Boston College, North Carolina, Duke, Georgia, North Carolina State, and Oregon.
