I received word today from Markens Charles '09 today that he would be transferring from The Nia School (NJ) to APEX Academies (NJ). Charles will be at APEX tomorrow to begin his time at the school that just produced Marcus and Markieff Morris, who are now at Kansas. Charles also told me that Jerry Coriolan '09 is also leaving The Nia School (NJ). "Smooth" as he is called, will be headed to Charis Prep (NC). The transfers of the duo had been in the works for over a week, but were not finalized until very recently. Another key member of The Nia School, David Laury '09, will be staying at the school. Although there had been rumors swirling that he was looking to transfer, Laury told me today that he was never actually considering it. Once again, in news being first reported by Northstar Basketball, Markens Charles is transferring to APEX Academies, and Jerry Coriolan is on his way to Charis Prep.
