Nate Lubick Commits to Georgetown

I first saw on Jeff Goodman's Good 'N Plenty blog on FoxSports last night that Nate Lubick '10 of St. Mark's (MA) committed to Georgetown. I quickly got in contact with the gifted power forward who runs with the New England Playaz for AAU ball. "I loved it. [Assistant] Coach [Kenya] Hunter [is] the best. Georgetown speaks for itself academically and athletically," said Lubick as to why he picked the Hoyas. He went on to add that the "Style of play, academics, and DC" were the main pulls for him, adding that "Georgetown was the right fit." Academics are clearly important to Nate, as he said that he would be going to college for "four years no matter what." I inquired of the big man as to whether or not he would do some recruiting of other players interested in the Big East powerhouse, to which he responded, "Sure, why not!" This is a huge get for John Thompson III and Co., who picked up Markel Starks '10 just last week, and has the making of a great class of 2010.
